What a week!

There was so much rain this week and we had to spend A LOT of time inside. Many of us found this a bit of an adjustment as we LOVE spending time outside. We still found creative ways to engage our brains and had fun in the process.

On Friday the children starting school soon came for their first school visit. We met some new friends and showed them some of the things they could do in our space. After whanaungatanga time, we split into different spaces so the new children could explore our classroom space. We were amazing working in the hall. So amazing that Mrs Holmes didn't even know there was a class in the hall and she had her windows open. After completing some R.E. work, we chilled out and shared our library books with our friends until it was our turn to go to the library.

For Golden Time, we played hula hoop rock paper scissors. After a couple of trial and error attempts, we got pretty good at revealing our choice (rock, paper or scissors) at the same time. Our aim was to get to the other end of the hula hoops without being beaten.
