As part of our play provocation this week, we have been making bridges to help the gingerbread man cross the river because that sly old fox wasn't anywhere to be found! Our bridges had to be high enough and long enough so they weren't touching the river at all and be able to support the gingerbread man (made out of lego). We used Duplo and mobilo to construct our bridges. We also started to make bridges with paper - this is a work in progress requiring lots of perseverance and persistence.
We had our bread and water morning tea on Thursday to experience how little some children get to eat. We were very well-mannered while eating our bread and drank our water when we were done.
We have been working on our floating and kicking skills with the flutter boards this week in the pool. We are all at different stages of learning how to do this and are giving it our best shot each day.
