Mary Mackillop Day

What a lovely day we had on Friday celebrating Mary Mackillop and all she represents for our school and for how we should live as Catholics. We started the day with a beautiful mass and the singing and responses from the children were amazing. As was their outstanding behaviour during mass. After morning tea we had tabloid sports and tried a lot of games like the ones Mary Mackillop may have played. In the afternoon we had arts and crafts in our classes. We made a collage of Mary Mackillop, Father Julian Tenison Woods, some of Mary's nuns and some children. Mary Mackillop and one of her nuns even visited us!! They looked suspiciously familiar!
